The police of Catalonia have detained two criminals who stole a suitcase worth more than 8.5 million euros at Barcelona airport: with 20 thousand euros, jewelry and luxury watches, the newspaper La Vanguardia writes on Thursday, August 3.
How informs BB.LV, a valuable suitcase belonged to a family of Russian tourists. The suspects took advantage of the inattention of tourists queuing to check in for an Emirates flight. The Russians did not even immediately discover the loss – the criminals took possession of the suitcase and immediately left the airport terminal.
Later, local police officers detained a married couple driving along the AP-7 highway near the city of Sol (Girona) with a stolen suitcase.
