Russia: Igor Girkin-Strelkov detained

In the telegram channel of the wife of Girkin-Strelkov Miroslava Reginskaya, a message appeared about the detention of her husband.

He is accused of extremism and has already been charged under the relevant article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The detention of Strelkov is associated with the fact that the day before, as usual, he criticized the Russian authorities, but this time he harshly criticized the president, writing on July 18, quotes “A country”:

Girkin-Strelkov’s lawyer confirmed to Russian media that his client had been previously detained on charges of extremism. “I didn’t see the case file, but yes, Igor Strelkov was indeed detained. Strelkov is one of the most ardent supporters of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Recently, he has been a lot of criticism of the Russian leadership – and especially the military command – for failures in the course of hostilities in Ukraine, writes BBC.
