OSE director beaten after testifying about Tempi tragedy

High-ranking employee of a Greek company oseone of the managers of the railway network, is beaten outside the courthouse after testifying about the train tragedy in Tempi, which killed 57 people.

The director of OSE’s electromechanical systems and electrification department was attacked by four people after he left a courthouse in the city of Larisa in central Greece. In court, the official testified in a case involving the Tempi train accident, which occurred on February 28, 2023.

It is assumed that the attackers were relatives of the victims of the train collision. Relatives want to get justice as soon as possible and are confident that the authorities and the New Democracy government are covering for the perpetrators.

A recent investigation carried out at the request of a relativec, showed that the freight train was carrying illegal fuel. That was the reason why the accident led to a large number of victims. This fact was carefully concealed by the management of the railway.

The battered official runs a department that is responsible for the operation of electromechanical traffic control systems on the railway. He is one of the main defendants in the train crash, as the accident occurred due to the fact that in this section (as, indeed, in other parts of Greece), the electromechanical traffic safety system did not work.

After the attack, police officers were sent to the scene, and an ambulance took the OSE director to a local hospital, according to the publication. Onlarissa.
