The fire that started in Kouvaras and spread to Anavysos, Lagonisi, and Saronida was out of control. A strong wind of 6-7 points, with gusts of up to 8 points, sharply expanded the fire area, due to which the fire fell on the settlements of Kuvaras and Lagonisi.

Police sent to help firefighters
The efforts of the fire brigade are supported by the police, who sent a powerful force to the area of the incident. In particular, assistance is provided by 119 police officers from groups OPKE and DIAS, patrol cars of the direct police, traffic police, and patrol police units. After 17:00, new fronts of fire broke out in Dervenochoria.
