Ukrainian citizen arrested in Germany on suspicion of membership in ISIS


On July 6, a citizen of Ukraine, Hatice Ts., at the request of the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office, was arrested by officers of the Criminal Police Department of North Rhine-Westphalia in the city of Bielefeld, 150 kilometers from Dusseldorf.

She is suspected of being a member of the Islamic State terrorist organization. German prosecutor’s office published on Monday, reports “European truth”.

According to the prosecution, in 2014, a citizen of Ukraine, together with her husband and four minor children, left for Syria and joined ISIS. The husband was a member of the Islamic State, and she, in accordance with the woman’s role in the organization, ran the household. After the death of her husband, the woman married two other members of ISIS, according to Islamic rites.

Hatice raised her children in accordance with the ideology of ISIS. In early 2019, she was captured by the Kurds, where she remained until 2021. Edition does not specify how she got to Germany.

The day after her arrest, the defendant appeared before an investigating judge of the German Federal Supreme Court, who issued an arrest warrant and ordered the execution of pre-trial detention. She is accused of participating in a terrorist organization abroad and violating the duties of caring for and raising children.
