Paris regional transport operators have said that bus and tram services will end at 21:00, although the metro will continue to operate as usual. However, the tram and bus are for many the only connections to the outer suburbs of Paris, where the metro does not reach.

Riots broke out at night June 28 in several French cities, especially in the suburbs of the capital, after 17-year-old Nael was shot dead by a police officer while controlling traffic. A tram was set on fire last night in the Clamart district.
The reason for the clash was a tragic incident the previous morning: a police patrol stopped the car for checks, and when they refused to obey the order and tried to escape, one of the law enforcement officers used a service weapon and shot the driver.

The video, then circulated on social media – authenticated by the French news agency and other media outlets – shows one of two policemen in the Nader district pointing a gun at the driver and then shooting him at close range as he tries to accelerate, to hide. The phrase “you’ll get a bullet in your head” is heard in the video, but it’s not clear who says it.
The car stops its course a few tens of meters at the post. The victim, 17-year-old Nael M., died of a chest wound. There were two more people in the car with him – one of them disappeared, the second, also a minor, was detained, but then released.
As it turned out, the teenager is known to the police for numerous cases of disobeying orders and driving without a license.
