Greece has successfully completed the re-issuance of 25-year bonds

Greece on Wednesday successfully completed the auction for the re-placement of 25-year bonds. Applications exceeded 1.2 billion euros, six times the requested amount of 200 million.

The Public Debt Management Authority announced that the yield on the issue was set at 3.99% compared to 3.56% in the previous auction in May 2022. The bond maturing January 30, 2042 was issued in 2017 at a discount of 4.2%.

The re-placement of the bond was carried out to meet investment demand and facilitate the work of the secondary bond market. Only primary dealers took part in the auction. Settlement date is Wednesday 28 June.
