In Volos, an attack was made with sledgehammers on the central polling station of the New Democracy.
The incident took place on Sunday night after midnight, the faces of the attackers were covered with masks. The property suffered significant material damage. ΔΕΕΠ Μαγνησίας noted in her statement, quotes CNN Greece:
“Terrorism with sledgehammers does not scare us. The attack by impudent hooded men on the New Democracy polling center in Volos today after midnight is further evidence that the Bahalaks * in Greece 2023 are being pressured and isolated by the vast majority of the Greek people. Pseudo-revolutionaries have avenged with sledgehammers and crowbars, a group of 30 hooded men compromised the physical integrity of an office manager and one of our young members They were imbued with vague ideas of violence and lawlessness and did the only thing they know well: the hood, the sledgehammer, the destruction.They are not afraid of anyone and do not intimidate anyone.Citizens strongly responded to these actions and “ideologies” in the elections on May 21, and will end impunity and lawlessness on June 25. We will continue to persevere and unwaveringly march on way of political culture, dialogue and comparison of achievements, programs and ideas with an eye to tomorrow”.
Literally two weeks ago, our publication wrote that on June 6, anarchists made an attempt capture the New Democracy polling station in Patras.
*The dictionary of the Modern Greek language says that “bahalaki” is a synonym for the words “riots, incidents, clashes with the police.”
