Poseidonos Avenue "will go underground" (video)

A new chapter opens for Poseidonos Avenue, which will have an “underground form” that will relieve residents and visitors of the city from traffic jams.

A world-class project that will stimulate significant investment in tourism, culture, sports and entertainment is The Ellinikon.

The large-scale project is expected to accelerate the economic development of Greece at the macro- and micro-economic level, as it is located in a strategic location in the capital, facilitating access to the center of Athens, the port of Piraeus and the Athens International Airport.

Inextricably linked to the project, which will ease the movement of citizens, is Poseidon’s digging underground, which the government says should be completed within 2025.

As you can see in the photo, the length of the underground route will be about 1300 meters, it will start from Alimos beach and reach the marina of Agios Kosmas.

This is one of the largest road projects in Attica, which will have 3 lanes in each stream, a speed limit of 70 km/h, as well as the removal of 6 traffic lights and reduce traffic congestion.

According to the information, 30-35 cars and 110 people are working on the project. About 50% of earthworks and 25% of concreting have already been completed. When the project is completed, there will be no need to interrupt traffic on Poseidonos Avenue, as within one night the road will “go down underground”.

Drones were spotted over Poseidonos Avenue, thanks to which you and I will be able to see how the work is progressing.
