A man who was convicted of murder and arms trafficking will be delivered from Athens to Moscow.
We are talking about Nodari Malashkhia. In August 2017, a man opened fire on his opponent during an argument, killing him. After that, the offender fled abroad.
In Sochi, he was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison. Malashkhiya was put on the international wanted list.
In November 2020, the killer was found and detained in Greece. But Russia managed to extradite him only this year. On May 16, the convict was handed over to Russian law enforcement officers at the Athens airport. He will be delivered to Moscow, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry reports.
