Kozani police arrested a 59-year-old doctor and a 48-year-old woman on charges of drug trafficking and issuing fake medical certificates.
It all started when the police officer on duty OPKE Kozani discovered that the doctor receives from the woman heroin with a total mass of 2.1 grams and a narcotic substance (shisha) with a mass of 1.2 grams. The police from the Kozani Security Department and the police from the OPKE team immediately went to the scene and made an arrest.
Subsequently, during checks carried out on the detainees, they were found to have heroin with a total weight of 1.8 grams, a fake medical prescription for taking psychotropic drugs and 56 tablets covered by the Narcotics Law.
During a search of the man’s house, a bag of raw hemp weighing 6.4 grams was found and confiscated. During the preliminary investigation, it was established that the man, using his status as a doctor, wrote out to the woman a fictitious medical prescription for psychotropic substances, and in the past issued other medical certificates.
The detainees, against whom a criminal case has been initiated, will be taken to the prosecutor’s office for criminal cases. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Kozani Police Department.
