440,000 young voters will cast their ballots for the first time in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Greece. They are ready to decide the fate of the country on May 21st.
This generation is different and has inherited the hardships left by a decade of financial crisis and the coronavirus pandemic. Experts are confident that youth votes will significantly affect the voting result, and therefore political campaigns pay special attention to young voters. Correspondent euronews Yorgas Dimitropoulos says:
“For the political parties in Greece, the choice of the youth is not yet clear. Therefore, they are trying to get their representatives to actively participate through social media platforms.”
