Started applying for a personal assistant and receiving up to 1663 euros per month

Since yesterday, persons with disabilities who need a personal assistant and interested persons who wish to work in this capacity have the opportunity to apply.

Information for the disabled

Disabled people, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, after checking their application, are assessed at the place of residence by a special commission, which includes: a social worker, an occupational therapist or physiotherapist and a psychologist. The commission determines the individual needs of the disabled, and then they will receive a committee decision awarding them up to 1663 euros per month for personal assistance. Through the roster of personal assistants, they will be able to choose one or more, according to their needs and preferences.

Accordingly, anyone interested in working as a personal assistant, regardless of specialty, can apply digitally to the email address above. Once the application has been verified, they participate in special free training provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to join the personal assistant register and be selected beneficiaries with disabilities.

The program is implemented in two stages. The first phase of the pilot program is already underway in the Attica region and its islands, it is designed for 1,000 people. The second stage will cover an additional 1,000 beneficiaries from other regions.
