Biden, 80, does not believe that his age should be a reason for not running for US President in 2024 and explained why: “I’m damn wise.”
The head of state stated this in an interview TV channel MSNBC. His interlocutor drew attention to the fact that among the leaders of the five hundred largest American companies on the Fortune list, not one has such a respectable age as his (in 2024, the president will turn 82). Is he sure that “he is exactly the one whom Americans should choose for the most responsible position in the world.” In response, Biden stated:
“Because I’ve become damn wise and I know more than a lot of people. I’m more experienced than anyone who has run for this position and I think I’ve proven I’m both honest and efficient.”
After a while, he added that “the same person who was president four years ago cannot be allowed to win,” referring to the now main candidate of the Republican Party, Donald Trump. And when asked by a journalist how he differs from his predecessor as president of the United States, a short answer followed: “To everyone.”
Joe Biden officially announced his intention to run for the presidency for the second time on April 25. It is worth noting that about half of the members of his Democratic Party are sure that he should not be re-elected.
