A 22-year-old mother in Thessaloniki was arrested after it was revealed she left her baby alone in a car while shopping at a department store.
On Thursday afternoon, a passer-by saw the baby in a parked car and called the emergency services (Άμεση Δράση). Arriving police officers found a four-month-old baby alone in the car, one window of which was half open.
The car was parked outside a department store in Pylaea. According to the testimony of the person who contacted the police, the child was alone for at least 40 minutes.
As a result, the 22-year-old mother and the 27-year-old car owner were found at the department store, where they were detained on joint charges of endangering the life and health of a minor.
