Ukrainian drones attacked the Kremlin and tried to kill Putin

A video has been released showing the failed Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin and the downing of Ukrainian drones. The video shows two consecutive explosions directly above the residence complex and the office of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Kremlin has already stated that “no one was hurt and there is no damage, as they were destroyed in time.”

Last night, Ukrainian intelligence agencies tried to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin by launching a satellite-guided drone at the Kremlin.

There were two explosions but with Putin everything is in order, they say in the office of the President of Russia.

According to state broadcaster Russia Today, “Ukraine unsuccessfully attacked the residence of President Vladimir Putin in Moscow with a drone. The operation against the residence of President Vladimir Putin was a “planned terrorist act” – said the office of the President of the Russian Federation.

“Tonight, the Kyiv regime made an attempt to strike with unmanned aerial vehicles on the Kremlin residence of the President of the Russian Federation,” the report said. “The attacking drones were disabled.”

“Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services, using radar warfare systems, the devices were disabled. As a result of their fall and scattering of fragments on the territory of the Kremlin, there were no casualties and material damage,” informs Kremlin press office.

The Kremlin regarded these actions as “a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation, carried out on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9 parade, at which the presence of foreign guests is also planned.”
The report notes that the President of Russia was not injured.

“The schedule of its work has not changed, it continues as usual,” the press service notes. “The Russian side reserves the right to take retaliatory measures where and when it sees fit.”

The Russians call the action a “terrorist act.” The Kremlin blamed the attack on the United States and Britain, as without satellite assistance the drones would not have been able to reach there.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that “The president was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack by Ukrainian drones, and today he works in his residence near Moscow in Novo-Ogaryovo. Plans to hold a parade on Red Square on May 9 remain in place.”

Russian sources claim that V. Putin was not even in the Kremlin, and that all actions were taken in order to show the Ukrainians something impressive after the rocket attack that hit the country during May Day.

The Kremlin says its military and intelligence agencies “acted in a timely manner” to shoot down the drones. “Russia reserves the right to retaliate when and where it sees fit,” the ministry added. Local residents posted videos of the apparent aftermath overnight.
