Two tragic incidents took place in the Cyclades, Paros and Mykonos. In both cases, the victims traveled on electric scooters.
In Mykonos on the evening of Easter Sunday (16.04) there was a traffic accident with a fatal outcome. According to cyclades24.gr, a 22-year-old foreigner, traveling by car, hit a 42-year-old man who was riding an electric scooter, as a result of which he was fatally injured.
On Tuesday morning (18.04), around 10:00, a similar accident occurred on the island of Paros. A 60-year-old car driver collided with a 26-year-old young man, of Albanian origin, riding an electric scooter. The incident took place in the Ampelas area. The young man was taken to the Island Health Center but died from his injuries.
Drivers of cars in the first and second cases were detained. The causes and circumstances of traffic accidents are investigated by the Mykonos Police Department and the Paros Police Department.
