Tourists in Italy face fines of up to 60,000 euros

“Attacks on monuments and art objects cause economic damage to everyone. Their cleaning requires the intervention of highly specialized personnel and the use of very expensive machines. Whoever commits these acts must also take financial responsibility.”

The fine for vandalism, as stipulated by the new law, will start at 10,000 euros and can go up to 60,000 euros.
