April 20 strike of trolley bus drivers

On Thursday, April 20, from 11:00 to 16:00, city trolleybuses will not go on routes due to a staff strike.

Vehicles are expected to leave for the “last” run before the strike at 10:00 am. And the restoration of traffic is expected after 17:00. According to the workers union announcement ΗΛΠΑΠthe board of directors decided to hold a third general meeting of staff, which will hear the financial and administrative report.

ΗΛΠΑΠ (Ηλεκτροκίνητα Λεωφορεία Περιοχής Αθηνών Πειραιώς) was founded after the acquisition of the Electric Transport Company on December 14, 1970 and was under the control of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. In July 2011, the transport company was taken over by Road Transport (OSY) SA.
