Volunteers from the Municipality of Piraeus distributed Easter gifts to the homeless.
Easter cakes with colored eggs and food were distributed on Holy Saturday (April 15) in the port by Mayor Giannis Moralis and KODEP President Ioannis Voidonikolas. It is noted that the ΚΟΔΕΠ initiative concerns the distribution of a total of 1230 meals on Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday to those who really need support.
In particular, 1230 rations were distributed to the homeless living in the port of Piraeus, a shelter, as well as citizens registered in the lists of the municipality in the register of those in need.
Giannis Moralis: “No one is alone in Piraeus! We are close to the city’s homeless 365 days a year, meeting all of their basic life needs. Let us hope and wish that this year the Resurrection of the Lord will be the beginning of a further reduction in social inequality and will grant us all health, prosperity and progress.”
