Meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu predicts Easter Sunday with heavy rains in the middle of the day and … autumn bad weather from Monday.

Rains expected on Easter Sunday in western Greece will intensify from noon and spread to the east, with further deterioration expected on Monday.

In a weather bulletin, Sakis Arnautoglu said there would be no rain in most parts of the country on Easter night, but it would begin in western Greece on Sunday morning. Precipitation is expected in Eptanis, Epirus, western mountainous Thessaly, Etoloakarnania, western Peloponnese, coastal regions of eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

At noon, the weather will expand to the east and intensify, while in Attica local – short, but intense – downpours are also expected.

Unstable weather is expected in western, northern and central Greece on Monday. Forecasts show that it will remain “autumn” until the end of the next week after Easter. Snow can also fall in the mountains of the mainland, at an altitude above 1500 – 1600 meters.
