Petrol stations in Piraeus, Kallithea and Vironas fined €20,000

Four gas stations in Attica were fined, totaling 20,000 euros.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Development and Investment, these are gas stations located in Piraeus, Kallithea and two in the Vyronas region.

“At the decision of the Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, fines totaling 20,000 euros were imposed, since during the inspections of the interservice department for market control (DIMEA) it was found that they violated the provisions on unfair profit taking (Law 4818/2021) “, the official statement says.

According to the relevant regulation, which was amended, effective until June 30, 2023, “gross profit is prohibited from the sale of any product or the provision of any service necessary for health, nutrition, housing, transport and consumer security, as well as from the sale of agricultural products and food, in particular raw materials for the production of fertilizers, animal feed, raw grain of all kinds, flour, sunflower and vegetable oil, in the event that the gross profit per unit of production exceeds the corresponding gross profit until September 1, 2021.
