Bus trip 12,000 km long and cost $24,300

The world’s longest route for tourists starts in August this year. The journey of thirty passengers will last 56 days and will pass through many countries.

Tourists will be able to appreciate the “luxury bus, specially designed for comfortable travel over long distances.” And launches “the longest bus journey in the world” Indian company Adventures Overland.

Departure is scheduled for August, the flight is designed for 30 passengers. It will pass through 22 countries and take travelers from Turkey’s largest city to the capital of Great Britain – through the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Western Europe.

A ferry ride across the Gulf of Finland, a visit to the northernmost point of continental Europe at the North Cape and a cruise through the Norwegian fjords – the trip promises to be eventful. The entire package will cost travelers approximately $24,300 and includes daily breakfast, 30 lunches and dinners, and hotel accommodation (for two).

The bus is specially designed for comfortable trips over long distances. Passengers will be able to relax on reclining “large legroom” reclining seats, AUX and USB ports, a drop tray and bottle and glass holders. Each passenger can take two “full size bags” on the trip.

The tour was conceived as an alternative to Adventures Overland’s annual Road to London route, inspired in part by the Hippie Trail buses that traveled the world in the 1950s and 1960s and were due to start in 2021. However, the route, which covered destinations such as Myanmar, China and Russia, failed to start as expected.

Adventures Overland was founded by entrepreneurs Tushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan in 2012 when they organized trips from India to London, from which travelers bring their own cars, as well as trips to Iceland and Russia. Agarwal notes:

“Every route in every country has been checked to ensure the journey runs smoothly, so London bus participants can board with the confidence they are in safe hands. Providing specialized experience and safety is our top priority. We will take care of documentation, paperwork, visas and permits so that all participants can focus on the journey.”

In the Guinness Book of Records, the longest bus route in the world, with a length of 6200 kilometers, connects Lima (Peru) with Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Last year, the Swiss railway company Rhaetian Railway set the record for the world’s longest train by operating a 1.9 km long 100-car train on the Albula/Bernina line from Preda to Bergen.

The bus on the new route should leave Istanbul on August 7 and arrive in London on October 1. The ‘longest’ bus journey in the world will take 56 days to cross Europe.” writes CNN.
