Beautiful, almost “summer” weather was recorded on Sunday by meteorologists. Citizens who decided to relax in nature, reached out to the city beach.
On March 26, the thermometer rose to +26°C. Despite the fact that it is still March (calendar spring), the weather in the capital is excellent, the Athenians from early morning massively rushed “to nature”. City beaches located in areas like Flisvos, Alimos and Vouliagmeni were crowded with people looking to soak up the sun and breathe in the sea air. There were also many who not only decided to sunbathe, but also did not miss the opportunity to make the first dive in the sea.
High maximum temperatures (out of season) are registered on Sunday not only in Athens. The highest maximum temperature was in Platanoulia in Larissa and Kranidi in Argolis, at 25.9°C. According to the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr, the eight highest maximum temperatures during the noon hours of March 26 are presented in the table.
High air temperature and clear sunny weather is forecast for Monday 27 March. The mercury column will reach +24°C. However, rain is expected in the evening. From Tuesday expected bad weather with temperatures falling to 13 degrees within 48 hours, and in northern Greece, at an altitude of more than 500 meters, snow will fall.
