Memorial liturgy in memory of the victims of the disaster in Tempi

The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, were present today, 5/03, at the memorial service for the victims of the Tempi train collision.

Ceremonies were also held in all Greek churches, according to the decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. In Athens it was the temple of Μητρόπολη Αθηνών. Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Jerome and members of the standing Holy Synod celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in memory of the victims of the disaster.

The ceremony was attended by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Minister of Education and Religion Niki Kerameos, Minister of Health Thanos Pleurys, Chief of General Staff Konstantinos Floros, Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis, Deputy of the Regional Governor of Syriza Panagiotis Kouroublis, as well as representatives of local governments and the leadership of the armed forces .
