As it became known today, Barack Obama will visit Athens this summer. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) will host an international conference in June of this year, in which he will take part.
At the SNF Nostos conference, Barack Obama is expected to discuss ways to strengthen democratic culture and the importance of supporting the next generation of leaders with SNF President Andreas Drakopoulos.
The program of the conference will be devoted to the promotion of mental health. In particular, it will cover a wide range of topics, including the loneliness epidemic, the impact of violence on young people, the relationship between faith and mental health, and the future of mental health treatment.
The conference is part of the SNF Nostos organized at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens from 20 to 23 June. This is the second time President Obama has visited SNFCC. In 2016, during his last international visit under his administration, he delivered a touching, unforgettable speech from the stage of the Stavros Niarchos Hall.
