The US and Canadian military shot down the third unidentified object – “small” and “cylindrical”

Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, confirmed that a US F-22 military aircraft shot down another unidentified object in North American airspace.

He specified writes Air Force that the object “violated Canadian airspace” and was shot down over the Yukon in northwestern Canada. Canadian and American planes were scrambled to track down the object, which Trudeau said was destroyed by an American F-22 fighter jet. This is the third object shot down over North America in the past week. Last weekend the US military destroyed a Chinese balloonand on Friday off the coast of Alaska shot down the second objectthe size of a small car. Mr. Trudeau confirmed on Saturday that he spoke with US President Joe Biden and ordered the destruction of the unidentified object, tweeting:

“Canadian forces will now recover and analyze the wreckage of the facility.”

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand told reporters that an unidentified object flew over downtown Yukon at an altitude of about 40,000 feet (12,000 m) and was intercepted at around 3:41 p.m. local time on Saturday. She described it as “small” and “cylindrical”. Efforts are being made to restore it to find out more details, Anita Anand said:

“The leaders discussed the importance of restoring the site to find out more about its purpose or origin. Tonight I will not speculate about the origin of this object. It’s too early to analyze the wreckage as we’re still collecting it.”

Ms Anand elaborated that he was shot down “about 100 miles” from the US border, adding that he posed a “threat to civil aviation.” And said it “appears smaller than the one that was shot down off the coast of South Carolina” last Saturday, referring to the giant spy balloon believed to be 200 feet (60 m) high.

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau thanked the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), which provides air defense for the United States and Canada. The White House said the facility has been tracked and monitored “for the past 24 hours.” The message says:

“Out of a precaution, and on the advice of their military, President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau authorized the shooting down.”

Canadian National Defense Minister Anita Anand and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the press conference, providing more details on the mission to destroy the site. The US Department of Defense confirmed that two F-22 aircraft took off from a military base in Anchorage, Alaska, and the object was shot down by an AIM 9X missile. Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder added that the FBI would work “closely” with the Canadian police.

Justin Trudeau announced Saturday afternoon that he ordered the object to be shot down after it violated Canadian airspace. This followed the confirmation by the North American Aerospace Defense Command of an exclusive Global News report, published at 3:36 pm ET, that Continental Defense Alliance officials were monitoring an object that could be another potential spy balloon.
