Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, Friday, again acknowledged, responding to criticism, that the reaction of the Turkish authorities to the deadly earthquakes is not as fast as the government would like. He also said that the death toll in the country from the earthquake had risen to 18,991 people and stressed: “So many buildings were affected that, unfortunately, we were not able to organize the work as quickly as we wanted.”
