More snow expected in the coming hours

Meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu predicts that snowfall is expected soon, which will intensify towards evening.

Already last night, snow began to fall in some areas again, in the north and north-west of the country the phenomena are more intense. By Tuesday noon the snow will stop, but only to start again in the eastern and northern parts of Attica – from the evening until dawn on Wednesday February 8. The air temperature will vary from 1 ° C to 6 ° C, and in the northern regions of Attica it will be 5-6 degrees lower.

In the eastern part of Sterea and Evia, as well as in the north-east of the Peloponnese, snowfalls will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. The northern Cyclades will also see snow at low altitudes, while in Crete it will fall in mountains over 400 meters high.

From Friday, the weather will improve, but the temperature will remain unambiguous, and until mid-February, new intrusions of cold air masses into the Attica region are possible.
