A 17-year-old girl stabbed to death her 22-year-old partner in the Athens district of Marousi on Sunday afternoon. She used a kitchen knife and inflicted multiple wounds on the victim.
The victim hosted the perpetrator at his family’s home. Citing police sources, the media reported that the minor said she killed her boyfriend because he asked her to end the relationship. The perpetrator was still in a state of shock when she was arrested by the police, alerted by the victim’s father.
The crime was solved when the victim’s parents returned home late Sunday evening to find both the victim and the perpetrator covered in blood. The underage girl reportedly has psychiatric problems and is taking medication.
Her parents said in a statement that they have provided their daughter with all possible medical care since her early teens, state broadcaster ERT said.
The girl was taken to the Police Department for the Protection of Minors, where she is in custody. A psychiatric examination is due.
