25-year-old car driver dies in collision with wild boar

On the evening of November 25, a young man died in a traffic accident in Mikrotebes (Magnesia) after his car collided with a wild boar.

According to ERT, the tragic accident occurred on the 22nd km of the Volos-Farsalon regional road in the direction of Volos. According to police, the car in which the 25-year-old man was traveling encountered a half-dead boar, who was injured a little earlier by another car passing by, moving in traffic towards Farsala, driven by a 40-year-old woman. The lady was not injured in a collision with an animal, but her car was damaged.

The unfortunate young man’s car swerved to the right, crashed into a concrete ramp and overturned on the roadway, fatally injuring the driver. The two vehicles were said not to have touched each other.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Volos General Hospital, where he died. The traffic department of Volos is conducting a preliminary investigation.
