Babysitter Next Door: 28 new municipalities in the program, application deadline

Those who wish to work as nannies can visit the website ntantades.gov.gr and register in the registry.

A home care program for babies and toddlers aged 2 months to 2.5 years called “Nanny Next Door” (“Νταντάδες της Γειτονιάς”) is being extended to 28 new municipalities, according to an announcement posted on ntantades.gov.gr .

The program provides financial support to working parents, single parents, foster parents and especially mothers when they use certified childcare.

How to register

Registration in the registry (“Μητρώο Επιμελητών”) is carried out exclusively online at the website ntantades.gov.gr and the application process is free. Applicants must be of legal age who have a formal qualification of knowledge of the category of child nanny, a certificate in first aid for infants and children, and medical certificates in the specialties of pediatrician/general practitioner, dermatologist and psychologist.

By registering in the Register of Educators, those who wish to strengthen their professional profile, as they have all the conditions forofficial and legal work by profession house nanny (baby sitter)and by participating in the “Nanny next door” campaign, they also have insurance (ensima).

It is also emphasized that registration in the Register of Educators does not exclude employment in another structure or kindergarten, and educators regulate their working hours and their remuneration after consultation with parents.

faces, not certified in first aid for infants and children (which is mandatory for their participation in the program), can attend a free EKAB workshop and register their participation at ntantades.gov.gr. Those interested will then be notified of the time and place of their training.

Please note that each curator is allowed to provide their services:

  • one to three children, of which only one child may be under 12 months of age.
  • one or two children under the age of 12 months.
