The 36-year-old man is the fourth person arrested in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Kolonos (Sepolia). According to the information, this is a hospital administrator, a resident of the western suburbs of Athens.
A man arrested on Saturday evening made an appointment via darknet, met and raped a girl in his car. The man who appeared before the investigator and the prosecutor received a reprieve to testify until tomorrow, October 17. According to the information, the detainee claimed that he had not had sexual relations with the girl. At the same time, he said that he met with an 18-year-old girl (who, as it turned out later, was actually 12 years old). He became the third man charged with paid sex with a minor.
The other two are Yiannis Sofianidis, who has already been temporarily detained, and a man who was arrested the night before yesterday and identified as a “client” of Mikhos. They are likely to demand a delay from the investigator so that they have time, after receiving a copy of the case file against them, to prepare and defend “their position”, including with the help of a lawyer.
How previously wrote “Athenian News”Ilias Mihos, a man in whose store the girl worked as an assistant, created and maintained a profile on social networks on her behalf, where he posted her intimate photos and videos that forced the child to take every day.
Users of the app, by specifying their age preferences and region, could connect to the profile of a minor (although the age was indicated there as 18, since the app is for adults).
According to the authorities, hundreds of people were interested in making an appointment with an underage girl by contacting an intermediary. Despite the fact that Ilias Mijas represented the older girl, users who saw the photos and videos did not hesitate to agree to a meeting, paying from 50 to 70 euros for it. All meetings were held in cars near the Sepolia metro station.
The police are investigating. According to them, the girl’s clients were 213 people.
