ΔΥΠΑ: the unemployed will be able to receive 1000 euros

A new allowance of 1,000 euros will be issued by the employment organization ΔΥΠΑ (formerly ΟΑΕΔ) for the unemployed on the register.

Applications are now open for a new digital and environmental skills training program for 80,000 unemployed people, which will be implemented by ΔΥΠΑ. Unemployed people who join the program and complete it will receive up to 1,000 euros as an emergency education allowance.

Beneficiaries after application receive a voucher for free education and money (study allowance). The total budget of the program is 100 million euros (from the account of the State Recovery Fund).

This is a training program for skills in which companies lack staff, such as digital commerce, logistics, digital marketing, as well as facility energy upgrading and green entrepreneurship.

The program is designed for 80,000 beneficiaries.

As Minister of Labor Kostis Hatzidakis noted, the training and retraining programs for workers and the unemployed who have joined the Recovery Fund with a budget of 1 billion euros aim to ensure that 500,000 beneficiaries receive a certificate of completion of the training program by the end of 2025.
