Robbers in Thessaloniki profited “good” by finding a safe weighing almost half a ton in the businessman’s house. Without thinking twice, they threw him off the balcony and took him away in a car.
The extraction amounted to more than 800,000 euros – 300 thousand in cash and a watch worth half a million euros. All this was in a safe, which there was no time to open. Therefore, the criminals threw him from the sixth floor and then took him away in their car.
The incident took place in the eastern region of Thessaloniki at dawn on Sunday. The owner of the apartment on the sixth floor, a businessman, was not at home, so no one prevented the burglars from entering the apartment. Having taken the things they liked, they decided to take with them a safe weighing 400 kg, which they threw out the window (it’s good that no random passer-by was passing under the balcony at that time!).
From a heavy device, a funnel formed below, and the criminals loaded it into a car and “were like that.” According to the victim, about 300,000 euros and an expensive watch were kept in the safe. After discovering the theft after returning home, the businessman wrote a statement to the police
The case has been taken over by the property crimes department of the Thessaloniki Security Service. Investigation and search of criminals is conducted, writes cnn.gr.
