£120,000 for vaccination death

The first claim for death after vaccination against coronavirus was considered and satisfied – the bride of the deceased received £ 120,000 from the NHS.

According to a British newspaper Metro, British rock musician Zion died days after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca last May. A 48-year-old man died in hospital after being injected with an “excruciating headache”.

His 38-year-old fiancée Vicki Spit said that losing a loved one was “like having half of you torn off.” She had to take out loans to cover her funeral expenses, and her family’s income “had plummeted”. Even in order to file a lawsuit, the woman had to borrow money.

She was finally paid £120,000 last week, the maximum payout offered by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme. However, she says that this money is not enough, what will remain after the payment of all debts. She also emphasized that those who receive a payment for a vaccine that causes disability and irreversible disease will incur “continuous medical expenses for the rest of their lives.”

British drug AstraZeneca was approved at the end of 2020 by international authorities as a safe vaccine against coronavirus. But in May last year, an alternative to AstraZeneca was offered to all patients under 40 years of age, as there were cases of blood clots and myocarditis in young people. The Department of Health and Human Services, however, stressed that “the benefits of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine continue to outweigh the risks for most people.”

Vikki is the first to receive a Covid Vaccine Injury Compensation Scheme payout. But the £120,000 payment is “not intended to cover all costs associated” with disability or death. The price is to “admit that the person may have been harmed by the vaccine.” That is why the plaintiffs still have the opportunity to go to court. NHSBSA reports:

“Claims under the Vaccine Damage Compensation Scheme (VDPS) are medically assessed by an independent third-party examiner. The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) has begun receiving results from the independent medical examiner on the first batch of COVID-19-related claims submitted for evaluation. We will contact each claimant directly as soon as we receive an update on their individual claim.”

The couple from Alston in Cumbria, who played together in glam rock band Spit Like This, were due to marry last year…
