The departure of “Easter sightseers” continues, as a result of which a traditional revival has been noticed on the roads, in ports, airports and railway stations of the country.
According to the traffic police of Attica, at the moment the cars are moving at very low speeds towards Elefsina.
Traffic is also observed on Λεωφόρο Αθηνών avenue (from the height of Haidari). Traffic jams also formed on the Imittos ring road and further in the area.
From 6 am on Holy Wednesday until 6 am today, 42,574 vehicles crossed the Corinthian highway toll points and 34,540 vehicles headed towards Lamia, according to official traffic police figures.
In connection with the increase in the flow of departing traffic police services are on high operational alert, and enhanced measures have been taken throughout the country’s road network to ensure the safe movement of citizens and prevent traffic accidents.
We remind you that from 15:00 to 22:00 today on Good Thursday and from 06:00 to 16:00 tomorrow on Good Friday, there is a ban on the movement of trucks with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tons. For the input stream, the ban will be in effect from Monday (04.25) from 12:00 to 22:00, and on Tuesday (04.26) from 11:00 to 23:00.
Kifissos and Lyosia bus stations
Meanwhile, pandemonium has been noted both at the intercity bus stations of ΚΤΕΛ Kifissos and at the Liosia bus station from today, Maundy Thursday.

An increase in traffic is also observed on railway network, since, according to TRAINOSE, trains are filled to 100%, mainly along the Athens-Thessaloniki-Athens vector.
Sky Airlines Express is also showing a corresponding increase in bookings and passenger line occupancy.
Ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio
At the same time, the peak of the departure of “Easter tourists” from the ports of Attica, i.e. Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio. The occupancy of the Good Thursday and Good Friday morning routes is 100%. To date, 19 routes are planned from the port of Piraeus, 17 from Rafina and 10 from Lavrio. dikaiologitika.gr.
