Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki says that Europe is very close to a crisis that could shake the entire continent in the near future.
At the same time, the Polish Prime Minister reminds, one should not forget about the domino effect – shocks can follow one after another. Speaking at the plenary session of the European Parliament on October 19, Morawiecki pointed out:
“Today we are on the verge of a huge gas and energy crisis. Rapidly rising prices, provoked, in particular, by the deliberate actions of Russian firms, are already confronting many companies in Europe with the choice of limiting production or shifting costs onto consumers. The force of the crisis could shake Europe in the coming weeks. Many enterprises can go bankrupt, and millions of households, tens of millions of families, the gas crisis can bring to poverty due to uncontrolled price increases throughout Europe. The domino effect has to be taken into account as well. One crisis can lead to new shocks in a cascade ”.
