Electric vehicles, natural gas vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and Euro 6 diesel vehicles that emit no more than 120 g / km of carbon dioxide will be allowed to enter the center of Athens on any day of the week following the introduction of the Ring of Athens regime.
The resumption of the so-called “Ring of Athens” (dactylios), suspended during the Covid pandemic, is scheduled for October 25. As part of measures to reduce road traffic, cars with odd-numbered license plates can enter the city center on odd-numbered days of the month, and even-numbered cars on even days.
On Friday, officials expanded the exemptions to include electric vehicles, natural gas vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and Euro 6 diesel vehicles that emit no more than 120 g / km of carbon dioxide.
The regime of the so-called “Ring of Athens” (dactylios) has not been introduced for more than a year and a half due to covid restrictions since March 2020.
