A protest action with the participation of fitness club trainers and gymnasts took place today in the center of Athens. The meeting was organized by the Attica Gym Owners Association.
The rally, accompanied by a visual gymnastic show, was launched to draw the attention of the authorities and the public to the problem of indoor gyms, a business area that has been particularly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
At Syntagma Square, observing the required distances, the athletes performed a series of gymnastic exercises to the applause of passers-by.
Gym owners are protesting the lack of a “rescue plan” for the “endangered” sports complexes and are calling on the authorities to reopen them.
