EEF 2024: Development of the Far East and Asia Pacific


The Eastern Economic Forum (September 3-6) will discuss new directions for the development of the Far East and its integration into the economic space of the Asia-Pacific region.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok from September 3 to 6, with an emphasis on the development of the Russian Far East and its integration into the economic space of the Asia-Pacific region. The event, organized by the Roscongress Foundation, will include about 100 business events on various topics. “The guests of the forum will discuss the image of the future of the Far East and outline new directions for its development,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

The EEF business program is divided into thematic blocks

Block “New contours of international cooperation» will focus on multilateral partnerships within organisations such as BRICS, SCO and EAEU, covering topics such as energy transition, digital currency and infrastructure modernisation.

Another important section is “Technologies for Independence” will discuss innovations such as cybersecurity, robotics and the new materials industry.

Track “Financial value system” will be devoted to the protection of intellectual property and commercial arbitration in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Eastern Economic Forum will also cover domestic Russian topics, including the development of the Far Eastern Federal District in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, small business and fisheries.

Program “People, education and patriotism“will focus on supporting youth and developing human capital. Direction “Master plans: from architecture to economics” will consider the instruments of integrated territorial development. Block “Transport and logistics: new routes” will discuss the modernization of the Far East infrastructure, with a special emphasis on the development of the Northern Sea Route and regional aviation.

The Eastern Economic Forum will provide a venue for business meetings between Russian entrepreneurs and their counterparts from China, India and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as for events dedicated to cooperation through international organizations and associations, including BRICS, the Creative Business Forum and the APEC International Conference on Higher Education Cooperation.

Participants and guests will also enjoy a cultural and sports program, including the International Forum “Falcon Day”, the exhibition “Far East Street” and the VEF sports games.

TV BRICS is the media partner of the event. The Eastern Economic Forum, which has been held annually since 2015, attracted 2,400 business representatives from 62 countries in 2023.
