Targeted police operations continue in Mykonos as part of the implementation of a special operational plan ELA.
As reported by ELAS, during the actions that took place yesterday morning until early morning today in areas of the island where there is a high level of crime:
- 310 people, 250 vehicles and 11 medical institutions have been checked,
- 19 people were arrested, 250 vehicles of all types were searched,
- 11 people were arrested
In particular 22 people arrested for violation of immigration laws, 2 – for forgery of documents and 7 – for drugs.
In addition, in order to combat offenses and dangerous antisocial behavior of drivers, 84 violations of the Road Traffic Code were registered and 1 vehicle was immobilized.
In particular, 19 violations concerned helmets, 17 – double line violations, 14 – parking, 4 – seat belts, 4 – intercepting a transmission, 2 – no driver's license, 1 – driving without due care and attention, 1 – no insurance, 1 – exceeding the license, 1 – worn tires and 20 – other violations. Drugs and forged documents were also found and seized.
As noted by ELAS“such operational activities, the main features of which are an increased police presence and targeted control, will continue to be carried out on a daily basis.”
