The 11-deck liner Astoria Grande is already preparing for its first cruise to Greece from Sochi.
According to the press service of the shipping company, He will make three trips to the Greek islands – Rhodes, Mykonos and Santorini or Lesbosand the journey will last ten days. But that's not all. Two week-long cruises are planned, during which the liner will sail along the coast of the Athos Peninsula.
The general director of the shipping company Stanislav Naumov notes that finally in the new season Russian fans of sea travel will have the opportunity to visit the most famous islands of Greece:
“In July 2024, exactly two years have passed since the departure of the first cruise from Sochi. But even in such a short period, we are already seeing a large increase in demand for sea tours: compared to last year, we managed to increase the occupancy of each cruise by an average of 35% compared to the same period in 2023.”
For cruises to Greece, you will need a Schengen visa, reminds GreekReporter. From March 2025 to January 2026, the liner will make 46 sea voyages from Sochi, of which 43 cruises to Turkey and Egypt and three on new routes to Greece.
