Apparently, a lover of the “high life” was a Mykonos police officer who was arrested for stealing a chain from a detainee.
A 31-year-old deputy constable serving at the Mykonos police station was “filmed” by the department's camera putting her hand into the bag of an illegal Syrian, a 63-year-old woman who entered our country illegally. When it came time to pick up her personal belongings, the Syrian woman discovered the gold chain was missing, which she immediately reported to the police.
After the testimony, as well as studying the video materials, it was established that the deputy chief was rummaging through the prisoner's bag. The matter was reported to Internal Affairs, and internal affairs officers arrived at the Athens Police Academy, where they found her attending a domestic violence course.
During a search of the policewoman's personal bag, the chain of the arrested woman was discovered. The deputy constable was put on a cruise ship and arrived on the island of Mykonos to appear before the prosecutor of Syros. The policewoman often published photographs of the “luxurious life” she led on the “Island of the Winds.” She even had a gun tattoo.
