US Vice President Kamala Harris will go to Switzerland for the Ukraine summit instead of Joe Biden, The Hill reports. Together with her, the President's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will represent the United States at the summit.
As the publication notes, US representatives intend to “emphasize the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s efforts,” as well as “confirm the support of the people of Ukraine.”
Earlier it became known that the head of the White House himself refused to participate in the summit: on June 15, the president had a meeting with sponsors of his election campaign in Los Angeles, The Hill recalls.
