Just an hour and a half from Athens lies a little-known beach with crystal clear waters. The trip is ideal for a one-day getaway.
A mysterious beach, similar to the coast of a desert island, is located in the municipality of Perachora Loutraki and is called “Beach X”. It combines all the characteristics of the Ionian beaches and is even somewhat similar to the famous “Navagio” (on Zakynthos), since it has emerald water, white sand and small pebbles. The beach is surrounded by steep cliffs. The clear water and environment make it an ideal diving spot.
The beach is only an hour and a half drive from Athens and Nafplio, and is suitable for a day trip. The only downside is the difficult access as it can only be reached by sea due to the steep vertical cliffs surrounding it.
