A recent British Mirror article devoted an entire page to the Greek island described Alonissos as “a great idea to visit Greece this summer.”
The popular publication praises the destination's breathtaking green landscapes, excellent service, hiking trails, picturesque villages and paradise beaches. The Mirror focuses on the uniqueness of Alonissos, where there are no “hordes of tourists”, but at the same time the island has retained its authenticity, following the path of “smooth development”.
The article highlights some of the countless positive reviews the island receives each year from tourists impressed by the exotic blue-green waters, warm hospitality of the residents, family-run taverns, hotel rooms with quality service and the aura of tranquility that the place exudes.
The services provided by professionals without high prices are especially emphasized. “In Alonissos, expectations for an ideal holiday coincide with reality,” visitors to this place emphasize in the comments,” reports the Mirror. “In Alonissos, authorities are making efforts not to lose the 'essence' of the destination. Nature, alternative activities such as diving and hiking, quality of services, gastronomy, as well as the largest natural marine park in the Mediterranean, resonate strongly with the traveling public, creating a wonderful impulse for the new season,” notes a member of the tourism committee of the municipality of Alonissos and travel agent Diogenes Theodoros.
