In the United States, intelligence agents stopped an attempted robbery of President Joe Biden’s granddaughter’s SUV by opening fire.
Three unknown assailants tried to break into Naomi Biden’s SUV parked outside her Georgetown home late on November 12, breaking the car’s windows. American intelligence officers opened fire reports The Associated Press, citing a law enforcement official, said that no one was injured from the shots. All three who tried to break into the car were able to escape.
The Metropolitan Police Department said Monday it was investigating the shooting, as it does all police shootings in Washington. The agency said “the facts and evidence in the case will be independently reviewed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.” It’s worth noting that there has been a significant increase in car thefts in Washington this year.
