The first weather forecast for Easter was presented by meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu: Holy Week is expected to be unstable and will start with rain.
Today, throughout Greece, there will be unstable weather with precipitation, in some places it will snow. Just as unstable, the meteorologist says, Holy Week is expected, which will begin with rain.
Already from Palm Sunday, the weather will begin to worsen. First, rain and snow are expected in the west of the country in mountainous areas, and then, on Monday, bad weather will spread throughout Greece. With each passing day approaching Easter, the weather will gradually improve, remaining, however, still unstable.
Today, April 6, in western and northern Thessaly, Epirus and western Macedonia, rain and snow are expected at an altitude of more than 500 meters. In western Macedonia, residents of several cities in the region will even be able to see a 5-10 cm layer of fresh snow on the ground.
In Attica, the weather is changeable, with clouds and sun, light rain in the morning. In the north of Greece, the chance of precipitation is higher.
