Secretary of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos visited the Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth, Texas, to review the manufacturing processes and operational capabilities of the F-35 5th generation fighter.
As announced, N. Panagiotopoulos was warmly welcomed by Gregory M. Ulmer, Executive Vice President, Denny Plessa, Vice President of Business Development, Bridget Lauderdale, Vice President and General Manager of Aviation Programs, and Lockheed Martin’s senior management.
The Minister of National Defense of Greece also took part in a briefing on the construction of the 5th generation F-35 fighter jets. Mr. Panagiotopoulos then visited the F-35 production line at the state-of-the-art facility in Fort Worth to learn about the production and supply chain support processes for building the F-35 fighter jets, as well as changing delivery schedules.
He also visited the hangars where new fighters are being tested and received a full briefing on the technical and operational characteristics of the aircraft from test pilot Chris Spinelli.
